That "satisfaction" you lost? You'll be able to get it again, in part, but you'll never get to know in full how it feels to beat the game, in your first playthrough, on your own. And your first playthrough only comes once. Of course, if you don't care about the experience, you could do what you want, but Soulsborne games are mainly about the experience. Playing with phantoms on your first playthrough is just straight up heresy imo. Going back to Bloodborne after years and playing offline felt great because it gave me a chance to fully map everything out in my head and explore all possible pathways without any assistance.īUT of course playin Elden Ring in offline mode off the bat means I will miss out on the chaotic PvP battles and hilarious bloodstains.
